Shelving & Wall Mounting

Shelving, TV mounting and picture hanging in Basingstoke

Shelves that stay level and TVs that stay on the wall. I use the right fixings for your wall type, whether it's brick, block or plasterboard.

Anything hung on a wall is only as good as its fixings. Plasterboard, brick and block all need different ones, and getting it wrong is how shelves sag and TVs come down. I'll check what your wall is made of and use fixings that are rated for the weight.

Before I drill, I'll check for hidden pipes and cables, and agree the exact height and position with you. Shelves go up level, pictures go up straight, and rows of frames are evenly spaced.

For TVs, I'll fit the bracket, hang the TV and tidy the cables as neatly as the wall allows.

What I can help with

  • Floating and bracket shelves
  • TV wall brackets
  • Mirrors, pictures and artwork
  • Curtain poles and blinds

Common questions

Can you mount a TV on a plasterboard wall?
Often, yes, using heavy-duty plasterboard fixings or by fixing into the wooden studs behind. It depends on the size and weight of the TV and the type of bracket, so tell me the model when you get in touch.
Do I need to buy the TV bracket?
It's best if you buy the bracket so you can choose the style (fixed, tilting or swing-out). I can recommend one that suits your TV and wall.
Can you hide the TV cables?
I can run them neatly in a cable cover on the wall surface. If you'd like them hidden inside the wall, let me know and I'll tell you whether that's practical for your wall.
